About Me

I am a 22 year old who has dealt with chronic illness for the majority of my life. To be more specific, I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia at the age of 14.  With a lot of support and understanding from my doctors, family, friends, and my college, I am working towards a degree in Sociology with a specific interest in the individual and social experience of chronic illness.  From there, I will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling starting this fall.

My Blog

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia: A Day in the Life is an honest account of my personal experience of living with chronic illness.  I want to share my story in the hopes that others can learn from my struggles and connect with the experience of coping with chronic illness.  It is my belief that chronic illness affects not only the body, but also the mind and spirit.
